1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, creating an account, submitting an audit request, or accepting a quotation, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you're using our services on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that company to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Cedar Frontier provides production engineering audits for software applications, including security review, code quality analysis, testing and CI recommendations, and infrastructure hardening. Our process is described in more detail on our About page. Specific deliverables, scope, pricing, and timelines for any engagement are set out in the quotation you receive and sign — these Terms govern your general use of our platform, and the signed quotation governs the specific engagement.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use our services. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access (including any magic link sent to your email) and for all activity that occurs under your account.

We authenticate customer dashboard access using time-limited magic links sent to your registered email. If you believe your account access has been compromised, contact us immediately using the details in Section 13.

4. Audit Engagements & Quotations

When you request an audit, we'll review your project and provide a quotation outlining the specific tasks, estimated hours, pricing, and timeline. Work begins only once a quotation is signed and, where applicable, payment or a deposit is received, as specified in that quotation.

Any change to the agreed scope of work requires a new or revised quotation. We'll flag scope changes as we identify them during an engagement rather than silently expanding or narrowing the work.

5. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise stated in your quotation, payment is due within 14 days of invoice. All prices are quoted in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes. Late payment may result in a pause of ongoing work until the account is brought current.

6. Your Code & Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership of your source code and any pre-existing intellectual property you provide to us. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your codebase to Cedar Frontier.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to provide your codebase to us for audit and modification. You retain responsibility for the intellectual property rights, licensing, and legal compliance of any code you submit, including code originally generated by AI tools. We assume no liability for third-party copyright, patent, or licensing infringements present in code prior to our engagement.

Changes we make to your codebase as part of a paid engagement become part of your project and are owned by you, subject to full payment for the engagement under which they were delivered.

7. Confidentiality

We treat your source code, audit findings, and business information as confidential. We won't share your code or report contents with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy (e.g. service providers who help us deliver the audit, under confidentiality obligations). If you require a separate signed NDA before sharing your codebase, contact us before submitting an audit request.

8. Limitation of Liability

Cedar Frontier applies industry-standard engineering and security practices to audit and harden the codebases we review. However, we do not guarantee absolute security or the discovery of all existing vulnerabilities. No audit, automated or manual, can identify every possible issue in a codebase.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cedar Frontier will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including data loss, business interruption, or security breaches — arising from pre-existing application flaws or from the services we provide. Our total liability for any engagement will not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific quotation. This limitation applies to your use of our website generally, in addition to the specific liability terms in any signed quotation.

9. Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." Findings and recommendations in an audit report reflect our professional assessment at the time of review and are not a guarantee against future vulnerabilities, bugs, or security incidents. Implementing our recommendations is your responsibility unless remediation work is separately scoped and paid for as part of an engagement.

10. Termination

You may stop using our services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay for services rendered, or misuse the platform. Termination doesn't relieve you of payment obligations for work already completed.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through a notice on our website before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
