Privacy Policy

Cedar Frontier ("Cedar Frontier," "we," "us," or "our") provides production engineering audits — including security, code quality, and deployment review — for applications built with AI coding tools. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our services, including when you submit source code for audit, and how we handle it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you provide directly — your name, email address, company name, and project details when you request an audit, create an account, or contact us.
  • Information collected automatically — log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected when you use our website and customer dashboard.
  • Payment information — processed by our third-party payment provider. We store a record of the transaction (amount, status, invoice number) but do not store your full card details on our servers.

2. Source Code & Repository Access

To perform an audit, we need access to your project's source code, which you provide either by uploading files directly or by giving us a repository URL to clone. This may include proprietary or confidential code, configuration files, and (unintentionally, if left in your codebase) credentials or secrets.

Uploaded files are scanned for malware before processing. Access to submitted code is limited to the automated audit pipeline and the Cedar Frontier engineers working on your audit. We do not use your source code to train machine learning models, and we do not share it with any party outside of delivering your audit, except as described in Section 5.

You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in the code you submit. Submitting code for audit does not grant us any license beyond what's needed to perform the audit and deliver your report.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To perform the audit you requested and generate your report
  • To communicate with you about your audit, including sending your report when it's published
  • To process payment for services
  • To provide customer support
  • To maintain and improve the security and reliability of our platform
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. AI-Assisted Analysis

Part of our audit process uses large language models to triage and analyze code for security, quality, and reliability issues. Relevant excerpts of your code may be sent to third-party AI providers for this analysis, under terms that prohibit those providers from using your code to train their models. Every automated finding is reviewed as part of our process before it appears in your final report.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or your source code. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate — such as cloud hosting, file storage, payment processing, and the AI analysis providers described above — bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements — if required to by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cedar Frontier or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same protections described here.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account information and audit reports for as long as your account is active, so you can access past reports from your dashboard.

Uploaded source code and cloned repositories are retained only for as long as needed to complete your audit, and are deleted from our processing systems shortly after your report is generated. You can request early deletion of your account, submitted code, and associated data at any time by contacting us — see Section 12.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, malware scanning of uploaded files, and access controls limiting who can view submitted code and audit data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12 — we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

9. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through a notice on our website before the changes take effect.
